Todowing

Todowing is an unofficial Chrome extension for the Todoist web app. Todoist flattens sub-tasks in Today, Upcoming, Filters, Labels and board views. Todowing nests them inline under their parent, up to four levels deep. Each sub-task keeps its own date, priority and labels, and you can check off or reopen sub-tasks without leaving the list.

The free version includes the nesting, seven color palettes and a text-size slider from 85% to 200%. It needs no account and caps the list at 5 sub-task rows per top-level task. A one-time $19.99 unlock removes the cap and adds inline editing and reordering of sub-tasks, a toggle that hides finished sub-tasks, filing a task under a parent in another project without moving it, focus sessions with a countdown that runs across open tabs, time estimates with a total in the Todoist header, a three-line notes pad above Today, a picker with fifty Google Fonts, and read-only Apple Calendar events on Today. There is no subscription, future upgrades are included, and refunds are available for 14 days.

Todowing works with any Todoist plan, so you do not need Todoist Pro. Your API token stays in your browser and goes to the official Todoist API and nowhere else. Your tasks never touch Todowing's servers, and the extension has no analytics or tracking. It runs in Chrome and does not work in the Todoist desktop app. Todowing is not affiliated with or endorsed by Doist.
